A Geeky Wedding

We also had another Iron Man and Spiderman.
Thought we'd share a couple of  pics from our wedding rehearsal this summer. With 11 children in our wedding (ages 4-14), we decided that the wedding rehearsal would be a lot more fun if it had a theme. So we celebrated the clash of our worlds by theming it: "Princesses and Superheroes."

Most of the girls were princesses,
but some were superheroes.
I had no idea that Ed would show up in a full-out Captain America costume. We were late arriving at the rehearsal because people on the street kept asking to him to pose for selfies with them. When we finally arrived, my poor sister couldn't even continue rehearsing her reading because she was laughing so hard.

First time I've seen Cap in church.
(P.S. I wore Hulk hands with my tiara because I'm the bride and you won't like me when I'm angry!)

#ForceFriday Awakens

So, we'll be out today scoping the new Star Wars merchandise like millions around the globe. Last night, we did a bit of reconaissance but couldn't find anyone setting up early. However, we did find some cool clearance items at the local Target.
Speaking of Target, they want you to Share the Force by uploading your Star Wars memories. Check it out on YouTube. They also have a really fun commercial built out of some of those fan memories. We've included it below. (P.S. Watch out for Darth Vader, he'll gitcha.)

Vader Lives

Photo Credit: Stuart Crawford via Wikimedia Commons
Last week, geeks all over the world were devastated by the news that James Earl Jones had passed away. This ugly hoax spread like wildfire around the globe, although clicking the link that came with the message revealed the not-so-funny joke.

Of course, we know that Mr. Jones cannot live forever, but here are some signs to know whether the next such announcement is a lie:

1) James Earl Jones does not appear in a cloud offering you wisdom. #TheLionKing

2) James Earl Jones does not show up at your party with Obi Wan and Yoda. #StarWars

3) James Earl Jones is not seen anywhere near a cornfield. #FieldofDreams
